Marcel Gamboa is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of
Life Cycles Counseling.
He started his journey as a counselor over 20 years ago doing a comprehensive mental health program in a pain management setting. This was the time when cell phones were ‘barely’ invented, so things were kind of basic back then. In the years since, Marcel has received extensive training in Trauma work, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

When not at the office, Marcel is busy running, doing yoga, swimming, and anything else active. He further loves traveling and spending time with his elementary school-aged daughter, his wife, and his adorable Goldendoodle. Marcel speaks English, Russian, Norwegian, Italian, and some Spanish (still improving).

While knowledge of techniques and strategies is important, Marcel’s main forte is his compassion and care for his clients and the authenticity that he brings to the sessions. Marcel sees clients with a wide range of problems/issues, but his passion is helping individuals with trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, and men’s issues. He also loves helping couples resolve conflict, build communication skills, and come together in a unified fashion. Finally, Marcel is in the process of becoming a mediator, and he will be fully trained to conduct family mediation by the end of 2023
